Many of you will recognise Beth as she has been a part of The Ropewalk team for three years and has now moved over to run the Baysgarth Stables Café, where you will find her keeping hungry park-goers well-fed with her brilliant cakes, pastries, breakfasts, sandwiches and more.
We were delighted to be joined by a selection of generous sponsors and local council representatives this morning as we officially opened the Baysgarth Stables Café and it was fantastic to see the café come to life after months of hard work. The Stables Café is now open 10am to 4pm from Wednesday to Sunday….
We were delighted to be joined by a number of The Ropewalk’s Friends and Patrons on Friday, August 15, who stopped by the Baysgarth Stables Café for a taster day! They tried a variety of hot drinks (and a few sweet treats from the cake display…we don’t blame them). This was a great opportunity for…
To stop people walking into the glass windows of the Stables we have not just added a generic dot pattern. MD signs were commissioned to produce an image that would fulfil the safety aspect but also offer a nod to the building’s history. What is it? Come along and find out after we officially open…

As well as repointing, roof repairs and wooden gate renovation the two metal protective south facing outer doors will be removed. The wooden arched doors only need…
These beautiful pieces of Longbridge Fell Sandstone have been delivered to Baysgarth. Site Manager Gary and team were smiling through the strain – they are not lightweight pieces! Lovingly shaped by the skilled Stone Edge craftsmen they will be used as the new window sills in the ice cream kiosk. The old high level small…
