We’re launching a new appeal to restore the six first-floor windows on the south-facing front of Baysgarth House—once elegant Georgian sashes, now sadly too far gone to repair. Years of sun and rain have taken their toll, leaving us with rotten frames and failing glass.

Each window costs £3,500 to replace, but you can sponsor a single pane for just £262. With 72 panes available, every contribution brings us closer to restoring this historic façade to its former glory.

• In the Georgian period, when the Nelthorpe family added the south wing, the windows were classic 6-over-6 sliding sashes.
• These were altered in the Edwardian era to 12-over-1, and later in the 20th century to 12-over-12.
• We now have full planning permission and listed building consent to return to the original Georgian design.
