The Baysgarth Lodges that are sited on the boundary wall with Preston Lane are the next element of Phase 1 to get the Stone Edge North Ltd treatment. As well as repointing, roof repairs and wooden gate renovation the two metal protective south facing outer doors will be removed.
The wooden arched doors only need some light repairs but the mismatched outer security gates have to go! The conceptual sketch shows how we plan to fit the security doors back within the arch so that the lovely brick arch will be visible again.
Calls Architecture has taken elements of design from the railings around the cottage to create the new gates. We think it will really look smart when completed.
