Guided Tour: From Cellar to Attic at Baysgarth House

Step inside Baysgarth House for a behind the scenes experience. Liz Bennet will lead visitors on an tour from the shadowy cellar to the hidden corners of the attic, uncovering stories, quirks, and centuries of history woven into the fabric of the building.
Along the way, you’ll hear how the house has evolved, what secrets its rooms have kept, and how each space has shaped the lives of the people who lived and worked here.
After the tour, join us for an illustrated presentation revealing the completed Phase 1 restoration works — plus an exciting look at what’s coming next as Phase 2 gets underway. It’s a chance to see Baysgarth House’s transformation from the inside out. Free

300 Years of Baysgarth Park Through the Most Important Trees

Step into the natural and historic landscape of Baysgarth Park with a guided walk led by Liz Bennet. Explore the fascinating story of this beautiful 30-acre park, from its historic connection with Baysgarth House to its ongoing development as a much-loved green space. Along the way, discover the stories behind the park’s 12 significant ancient trees and uncover the rich heritage hidden within its landscape.

Afternoon Tea

Experience a touch of elegance inside one of Barton’s most treasured heritage buildings. Our Afternoon Tea is served in one of the beautiful rooms of Baysgarth House soon to be restored, offering visitors a chance to enjoy classic hospitality in a truly historic setting.
Guests will be treated to a traditional afternoon tea including tea or coffee, a variety of sandwiches, sausage rolls, a fruit scone with clotted cream, and assorted sweet treats — all presented with vintage tableware to create a charming sense of occasion.
Cost: £18 per person
