We’re delighted to share that Liz Bennet, CEO of The Ropewalk, has proudly accepted a Good Mark Award from the Barton Civic Society for the restoration of the historic stables at Baysgarth House. Liz was joined by Paul Webb of Stone Edge North Ltd and members of the Baysgarth Stables Café team. The award was presented by Barton Civic Society Chairperson Rod North.
The neglected buildings have been carefully transformed into the warm and welcoming Baysgarth Stables Café, which has quickly become a favourite spot for residents and visitors alike.
Liz said: “Restoring the stables wasn’t just about creating a new café – it was about safeguarding an important piece of Barton’s heritage. We’re thrilled to see the community enjoying the space, and we’re proud to help ensure that these buildings continue to be part of Barton’s story for generations to come.”
