Oh dear
You know when you start insulating the loft and you look up and can see daylight… Restoration of the cottage is going to require a bit more work than was initially anticipated.
The roof inspection has come back with some additional issues that need to be taken care of. Scaffolding was already planned in a few weeks to replace and restore some of the upstairs windows but now it seems we will have to extend the scaffolding upwards to sort out the failed flashing around the chimney. And whilst we are at it we might as well remove the awful white pointing and do a proper job to match the rest of the renovated areas.
